Gobble Gallop

On Thanksgiving morning in Duluth, Minnesota, the Gobble Gallop sends Northland runners out before the holiday meal. Duluth Running Company hosts this tradition, now in its decades-long run, which draws around 1,800 participants and offers a main 5K, the Tough Turkey 1-Mile, and the Gobble Giddy Up! Kids Run. The race is built for families as much as faster runners: some children first join in strollers, then come back old enough to run the one-mile race themselves. Parents and siblings often race on the same morning, and part of the proceeds support Safe Haven.
