The Hotfoot 5K Trail Run is a mostly flat 5K run/walk held at South Kitsap Regional Park in Port Orchard, Washington. The main race begins in the morning, preceded by a separate 1-mile event. Both distances are chip-timed. The South Kitsap Fire Rescue Volunteer Association organizes the event, and only chip-timed participants can receive awards.
The 5K follows a single loop through the park, combining wooded areas with local landmarks such as the SK Skate Park, Casey's Batting Cage, the children's playground, and the Live Steamer trains. This race has taken place for over twenty years. Its tagline describes it as "a pleasure to walk and a challenge to run." Funds raised benefit a community scholarship and the public Fourth of July fireworks display. Organizers confirm that after covering essential race costs like park fees, equipment, and course markers, proceeds are allocated to the designated scholarship.
