The Leftover 5K Run/Walk begins at 10:00 a.m. from Festival Park in Racine, Wisconsin, immediately following Thanksgiving. This is a relaxed 5K for runners and walkers looking to be active after the holiday meal, with the event supporting the Racine County Food Bank.
The route commences and concludes at Festival Park, utilizing the Lake Michigan Pathway. The race embraces its "leftover" theme: participants may collect surplus merchandise from other races, such as medals, apparel, bananas, and snacks, and every finisher receives a custom medal. Attendees can also contribute non-perishable food donations for the Racine County Food Bank. Timing is managed with shoe tags and bibs, with live results available online. Awards are presented to the top male and female finishers, age-group winners, and participants in the wheelchair division.
