MammothMarch Tampa Bay

MammothMarch Tampa Bay is a 20-mile hike at Alafia River State Park in Lithia, approximately 25 miles southeast of Tampa. It is part of the MammothMarch series, designed as a long one-day challenge for hikers, nature lovers, and followers of MammothMarch events. The route begins and ends within Alafia River State Park, following a course that crosses mixed hardwood forest, pine flatwoods, rolling hills, lakes, and wildlife habitat. This edition differs from other Florida MammothMarch hikes as Alafia River State Park features notably steep elevation changes for Florida, unlike the flatter terrain common in Central Florida. The Tampa Bay event has sold out two consecutive editions, attracting participants seeking a demanding hike over a relaxed park stroll.
