The Moab 240 Endurance Run begins and ends in Moab, Utah, requiring participants to cover approximately 240 miles on foot in October. The official course spans 241.8 miles, featuring 31,892 feet of elevation gain and an equal amount of descent. This multi-day ultramarathon emphasizes endurance, sleep strategy, and consistent progress through rugged terrain.
The course crosses desert, canyons, slick rock, and two mountain ranges. Canyonlands and Arches National Park border the race area. Participants receive support from 15 full aid stations, five of which are designated sleep stations, a crucial element for a race demanding rest over its duration. The participants are ultrarunners prepared for extended distances, challenging terrain, and the sustained mental focus required for hundreds of miles.
