Moonlight Ride Paducah is a 10-mile night bike ride in Paducah, Kentucky. A festival takes place before the ride, which starts late from BikeWorld on Joe Clifton Drive. The festival opens in the evening with live music, day-of registration, complimentary ice cream and watermelon, crafts, activities, bike decorating, and glow stick sales. The ride begins after dark; lights are essential, not just decorative. Every bike must have front and rear lights, helmets are mandatory, and participants are encouraged to add creative lighting.
The route uses marked city streets, and participants ride at their own pace, not competitively. The event welcomes families with children, youth groups, couples, neighborhood groups, sports teams, poker clubs, visitors, casual cyclists, and experienced riders. Any type of bicycle is permitted. This is the 13th annual edition of the event, and its proceeds benefit Paducah Cooperative Ministry. The ministry provides food and housing assistance, including grocery support, transitional housing for women, mothers, and children, and aid for those experiencing homelessness.
