Run for the Beaches 5K & Fun Run/Walk

The Run for the Beaches 5K & Fun Run/Walk is a beach race on Treasure Island, held on the wide, hard-packed shoreline at low tide. The primary event is a chip-timed 5K with an out-and-back course. Participants seeking a less strenuous option can opt for the 1-mile Fun Run/Walk. Children have their own brief race: a 100-meter Turtle Dash designed for a quick sprint. The event supports coastal protection, with proceeds benefiting efforts for the shoreline, marine life, wildlife, and seabirds. Following the race, participants can enjoy live music, awards, local food from Taste of Treasure Island, and children’s activities provided by nonprofit partners. Registration provides a race shirt, a finisher medal, and one complimentary beer, seltzer, or mimosa.
