Lolo National Forest is the setting, with the route following the Clark Fork River instead of passing through town. Runner's Edge 11 Miles to Paradise is a point-to-point trail run that begins on an "old two-track forest service road" before "narrowing to single-track," a start that allows the field to spread out before the trail demands more.
Following that, it is "rolling single-track trail alongside the Clark Fork River," crossing small drainages and contouring hillsides. The second half continues to roll, but the course has an "overall net elevation loss," making it feel runnable if your legs manage the uneven rhythm. You finish at Ferry Landing fishing access on State Route 135, with homemade cookies and snacks waiting. The post-race gathering is at Quinn's Hot Springs Resort, offering optional food, drinks, pool access, and the trail-runner quirk of a custom Nomadix towel with quick-dry and sand-resistant properties.
