Thrive IRC Freedom 5K Run/Walk

The Thrive IRC Freedom 5K Run/Walk begins at 7:30 AM at South Beach Park in Vero Beach, Florida. Both runners and walkers will cover the same 5K distance. This event was previously known as The Substance Awareness Center, or SAC, 5K Run/Walk. It now benefits Thrive IRC’s initiatives in substance misuse prevention, behavioral health resources, recovery services, and long-term community wellness. The race accommodates individuals and teams, offering team pricing and a fastest-team award for groups of four or more runners. Walkers are eligible for awards, with prizes for the fastest walk times. Runners compete for overall male and female victories and age-group placements, spanning from youth divisions to older categories. The first 250 registered participants receive shirts. Food and drinks will be available post-race, followed by an awards ceremony. Fundraising is incorporated, with awards for the top individual fundraiser and top fundraising team. Raffle tickets are available for purchase online and on race day; winners need not be present to receive prizes.
