Watermelon Dash Austin

Watermelon Dash is the third race in the Summer Dash Series, which also includes the Lemonade Dash and Popsicle Dash. The Dallas event runs in late summer at Bachman Lake Park and offers a 5K, a 10K, and a Kids & Family 1K walk, so it works for runners who want a normal road-race morning and families who just want a short, easy outing. The 5K uses one loop, while the 10K doubles it for two loops, and parking is free at Bachman Lake Park and nearby lake lots. The race leans into its summer theme as a “sweet treat in the summer heat,” with results and photos posted afterward, volunteers helping on race day, and awards for the top overall men and women, masters finishers, and first-place age-group winners.
