The Katanning Run4Resilience begins on Great Southern Highway in Western Australia’s wheatbelt. Runners and walkers depart on a rural morning through farmland trails. Options include 3km, 7km, 14km, and 21km, accommodating a pram walk, a casual jog, a steady middle-distance run, or a half-marathon effort. Over 200 participants are anticipated, following the 256 registrations from the previous Katanning event.
The course follows country trails featuring creeks, crops, open farm views, and fresh country air. Families, beginners, club runners, dog walkers, those with prams, groups of friends jogging, and solo participants are welcome. Fat Farmers Ltd and Active Farmers assist in organizing the event. The series focuses on movement, rural community support, and physical and mental wellbeing. The Run4Resilience series is also expanding from Western Australia into South Australia and Victoria.
