9. Super-Cross-Sprint Triathlon

The Super-Cross-Sprint Triathlon takes place in Merzig, Saarland, during June at DAS BAD Merzig. It features supersprint distances: 250 metres swimming, 7.5 kilometres cycling, and 2.5 kilometres running, making the event focused on speed over endurance. Tri-Sport Saar-Hochwald organizes the race, which has a limited field of approximately 75 participants. The swim occurs in the DAS BAD Merzig pool using a 25-metre lane. Afterward, participants transition in the Bad Merzig parking lot, which also functions as the start and finish area for the cycling and running segments. This race is a component of the Saarland Triathlon Union championship series, covering adult, youth, and student divisions. Residents of Merzig are automatically entered into the city championship, with the Mayor of Merzig acting as the event's patron.
