Informazioni su questa gara
Treibjagd im Dunkelwald begins with a 5 km uphill time trial at TrailCenter Rabenberg, testing riders' legs before the marathon stages commence. This multi-day mountain bike stage race is set in Saxony’s Ore Mountains, with its base in Breitenbrunn and Johanngeorgenstadt. Participants can select short or long options for the main marathon days.
The race features several circuit courses instead of a single point-to-point route. The Dunkelwald Climb covers 300 meters of elevation gain over 5 km. The marathon routes provide either 30 km with 1,000 meters of elevation gain or 60 km with 2,000 meters. The event schedule includes the Dunkelwald Marathon at TrailCenter Rabenberg, KAMM-BIKE-CROSS starting from the Loipenhaus in Johanngeorgenstadt, and the Erzgebirgsradrennen returning to Breitenbrunn. Both KAMM-BIKE-CROSS and the Erzgebirgsradrennen are part of the MTB Sachsen Cup. The event attracts mountain bikers from across Germany. This format allows stronger riders to engage in demanding racing over multiple days, while others can opt for the shorter distance and remain in the competition.
