Titánica de Riodeva is a summer mountain bike race held in Riodeva, Teruel province, Spain. This BTT/XCM-style event focuses on off-road riding, climbing, and navigating challenging terrain, distinct from fast, smooth road cycling. The primary option is the Extreme route, typically about 62 kilometers with 2,100 meters of elevation gain. A shorter Basic route covers 36 to 37 kilometers with approximately 1,100 meters of climbing. Some years feature an e-bike route, broadening participation while maintaining the demanding nature of the main course.
The course crosses the mountainous region surrounding Riodeva, featuring pine forests, gorges, and open vistas interspersed with difficult sections. Participants include competitive racers, various age categories from juniors to masters, and those opting for the Basic or e-bike routes. RIODEVA C.C. organizes the event. Previous editions have been part of regional XCM cup series, such as the Copa Aragon XCM by Cyclon. Participants also note the aid stations and the post-race meal as valued aspects of the day, especially given the significant climbing involved.
