The Marathon des Alpes-Maritimes Nice-Cannes begins on Nice's Promenade des Anglais, leading runners along the French Riviera to Cannes' Boulevard de la Croisette. This 42 km seaside marathon, typically held in autumn, is presented by its organizers as France's second-ranked marathon after Paris. The race welcomes both licensed and non-licensed participants, offering options for those completing the full distance, sharing the race, or running a shorter segment.
The route traces the coastline through Saint-Laurent-du-Var, Cagnes-sur-Mer, Villeneuve-Loubet, Antibes Juan-les-Pins, and Vallauris Golfe-Juan, with coastal vistas on one side and the Alpes-Maritimes mountains inland. Teams can divide the course into two half marathons, from Nice to Antibes and Antibes to Cannes. The 20 km race concludes in Villeneuve-Loubet, overlooking Marina Baie des Anges. Additionally, a team relay is available for three to six runners, a Handisport race covers the same Nice-to-Cannes course, and a Breakfast Run takes place the day prior, featuring 200 to 300 participants on a final, relaxed run along the Promenade des Anglais.
