Informazioni su questa gara
Trail du Postier is a nature trail race held in Blois, Loir-et-Cher, central France, during early November. Established in 2003, the event utilizes the city's extensive 2,750-hectare state forest. Participants can select from two distances: the 13 km Trail de la Groëtine, suitable for a shorter run, or the 32 km Trail du Postier, intended for those with more trail running experience. The race incorporates a postal theme with references to letters, stamps, and postmen, but the running is primarily on forest trails, not roads.
The course crosses forest roads and narrower paths shared with walkers, cyclists, and equestrians. It winds through remnants of the ancient Blémars forest, known for its grand oak trees, and passes notable locations like La Pinçonnière lake, the parks of Les Mées and L’Arrou, and the Russy forest. Post-race, Blois offers attractions such as its old town, half-timbered houses, Rue du Poids du Roi, the Jacques Gabriel bridge, and the Fine Arts Museum. Local cuisine, including Sologne asparagus, poularde 1550 with saffron, and rondiaux (a traditional Sologne sweet), provides further incentive to stay.
