Informazioni su questa gara
The Mito Komon Manyu Marathon is a 42.195 km road race in Mito, Ibaraki. It begins at 9 a.m. from the Minamicho 2-chome intersection, five minutes from Mito Station. The event takes place in October, regardless of weather, and limits participation to 10,000 runners. Participants must be at least 18 years old and have graduated high school. The race reserves spots for local residents and medical personnel.
The course is certified by the Japan Association of Athletics Federations and World Athletics, confirming it as a standard full marathon. Runners will see Mito landmarks such as Kairakuen, one of Japan's three renowned gardens, and Lake Senba. The route continues through suburban areas before concluding at the main gate of the Ibaraki Prefectural Government Building. All finishers get a medal designed as an inro, a small traditional seal case associated with the Mito Komon theme. Local volunteers assist with race operations, and a dedicated Runner Support Team provides aid, entertainment, and encouragement along the course.
