Informazioni su questa gara
The Fukuyama Sunset Marathon is an evening race based at Ashidagawa Kawamachi Plaza, also called Shinshui Hiroba, in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture. It is scheduled before sunset so runners can avoid the worst of the summer heat. The program is built for a wide range of runners, with 10 km, 5 km, 2 km, and 1 km races, plus a 10 km ekiden relay split into four 2.5 km legs.
The same riverside plaza handles check-in, the start, and the finish, so the event is compact and easy to follow. Children have their own 1 km and 2 km categories, junior high and high school students can race 2 km, and there is also a 1 km family race for a preschool child running with a parent. The relay gives groups a way to share the 10 km distance instead of racing it solo, which fits the event’s low-barrier, community-race feel.
