Informazioni su questa gara
The Akabane Trial is a monthly running event held on the Arakawa River bank in Kita City, Tokyo. Participants can access the start line from Akabane Station or Akabane-Iwabuchi Station. Runners have a choice of 5 km, 10 km, 15 km, or a half marathon, suitable for a short tune-up, a longer training run, or a low-pressure race day. The course is flat, following the riverbank, which makes the route straightforward and easy to navigate.
This event functions more as a regular runners' gathering than a large-scale spectacle. Club runners, casual runners, and beginners can all participate within the same framework. The event is organized by a volunteer non-profit committee, with race-week details communicated on the Wednesday prior to the event. Award winners receive complimentary entry to the subsequent race, and a point card system awards one point per participation, leading to a free future entry after accumulating three points. A local public bath, Otamayu, is available for runners post-race, and its owner actively supports participants along the course.
