Chino Rogaining, supported by L House, is a three-hour rogaine in Chino City, Nagano Prefecture. The Chino City Cultural Hall serves as the start and finish. Teams and solo runners receive a B4 map at 1:20,000 scale with 10-meter contours. Participants then select their own route on foot, walking or running, to gather checkpoints within the time limit. Confirmation of passage is by digital photos, making the event as much about planning and navigation as speed. The field is limited to 100 participants across all categories, suitable for beginners. Categories include family teams, mixed teams, women’s teams, men’s teams, women’s solo, and men’s solo, with team sizes ranging from two to five people. The schedule features an optional beginner lecture before the briefing, the map reveal just before the start, and awards after scoring. Mirai-zu Inc. organizes the event, with L House as special sponsor.
