Per la Cromwell Half Marathon si fanno 21.1 km sulla Lake Dunstan Cycle Trail, lì in Central Otago. Il via è alle 10:00 e il percorso è super piatto, quasi senza dislivello. Oltre alla half marathon individuale, c'è pure la 10 km run/walk e la half marathon relay. La half marathon è un out-and-back su un sentiero largo e ben tenuto, che costeggia il Lake Dunstan, con vigne e montagne lì vicine.
