Haumoana School hosts the second race in the Triathlon Hawke's Bay Winter Duathlon Series. This event offers run-bike-run options and solo runs, designed as a low-key winter competition. It has the feel of a club series: participants can choose short, middle, or long distances, race individually or as a team, and maintain fitness through the colder months.
The event caters to a range of participants. Beginners can enter the "Duathlon Dash for 7 years +", families can participate together, and experienced athletes can use it for "keeping your fitness in check" before the summer triathlon series.
