Runmageddon Gdańsk/Sopot is a beach obstacle-race weekend in Poland’s Tri-City, held at ERGO ARENA on the border of Gdańsk and Sopot. It is part of the Runmageddon series, offering formats for various levels: Kids run 1 km with 15+ obstacles, Family covers 2 km with 15+ obstacles, Intro and Intro U-16 cover 3 km with 15+ obstacles, Rekrut runs 6 km with 30+ obstacles, and the classic Runmageddon format is 12 km with 50+ obstacles. The course utilizes the seaside setting, featuring sand, beach sections, mud, and sun, with obstacle stations designed to challenge participants. A Night Rekrut over 6 km takes place after dark, alongside a Games competition for the fastest racers. The event attracts a diverse crowd: children, families, teams, first-timers, regular obstacle runners, and speed-focused competitors all share the same event village. Organizers greet participants as “Świry,” a playful Polish term for those willing to sign up for this type of challenge. Thousands of participants are expected across the weekend.
