Gobble Gallop 2026

The Gobble Gallop is a Thanksgiving morning race in Duluth, Minnesota, hosted by Duluth Running Company as a decades-long Northland tradition. Around 1,800 runners participate in a set of short, family-friendly events: the Gobble Gallop 5K, the Tough Turkey 1-Mile, and the Gobble Giddy Up! Kids Run. The race draws people who treat it as part of the holiday itself, including families with children who started coming before they were old enough to run on their own. One runner first joined as a 13-month-old in a stroller and later returned for the Tough Turkey 1-Mile, while his dad and sister raced too. The mood is built around starting Thanksgiving active, often in cold morning weather, and part of the race proceeds benefit Safe Haven.
