The 5K, "HOPE... It's a Beach Thing!!!", is held in memory of Tim Beach, who passed away from a brain tumor. Tim outlived his prognosis, surviving 21 months with a high quality of life. Inspired by his passion for running and his love of the University of Dayton, this event helps conquer brain cancer. Over the past eleven years, it has raised $661,000 in net profit for brain tumor research. Friends, pets, kids, strollers, and pups are welcome to walk or run.
