Irving Marathon 2027

The Irving Marathon Running Series takes place at Toyota Music Factory in Irving, Texas, featuring a marathon, half marathon, 10K, and 5K run/walk. The spring marathon offers a Boston-qualifying opportunity on a USATF-certified, chip-timed course. The series includes multiple events throughout the year, such as the winter Irving Frost Marathon, catering to various participants from first-time 5K walkers to marathoners seeking a flat course with pacers. The courses traverse Irving and the Las Colinas area, with over 90 off-duty police officers managing street closures and traffic. Lazaro Alvarez and Ronnie Chesko founded the marathon to support the local community, with Alvarez later collaborating with Jaclyn Livingston to develop it into a comprehensive running series. The races benefit the Irving Schools Foundation and provide practical runner amenities: complimentary professional photos, bag check, timing-chip bibs, live GPS tracking with progress alerts, custom finisher medals, and performance shirts. The marathon and half marathon offer cash prizes and pacers. The finish area hosts a pre- and post-race party at Toyota Music Factory, complete with live entertainment, food, age-group awards, and team challenge awards.
