North County Turkey Trot

The North County Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving morning run at 4S Ranch Sports Park in San Diego, featuring a 5K race followed by a Kids 1K Fun Run. This local family race focuses on children's sports, with proceeds supporting a mission to help more children play, build confidence, learn skills, and join a team community. The event is in its third year. The format is straightforward: adults and older children can run the 5K, and then younger runners participate in their own 1K. Parents can accompany registered children in the fun run. The day includes shirts, medals, swag bags, a raffle, age-group awards for participants aged 8 to 80+, and prizes for the top three costume contest winners.
