This is the 4th year for a race named for the rugged men who explored this area starting in the 1860s. The views are as good as the gold they were seeking. As you navigate the trails, you'll encounter reminders of the mining activity. Expect to pass by old homesteads, forgotten mine equipment, and navigate through spur roads, all telling a story of the past.
