Summit Mountain Challenge 2027

The Summit Mountain Challenge is a six-race summer mountain bike series held on the trails of Summit County, Colorado. Races take place on Wednesday evenings from May through August, offering long, short, and kids course options. This allows families, newer riders, and stronger racers to participate in the same series. The series concludes with the Breckenridge Classic. To qualify for overall standings, riders must complete five of the six races on the same course type. Breckenridge Recreation took over the series from Jeff Wescott of Maverick Sports Promotions, maintaining a focus on affordable, organized local racing. The events utilize trails permitted by the USDA Forest Service in White River National Forest, meaning weather and trail conditions may lead to delays, cancellations, or rescheduling.
