Clare Valley Trail Run

Clare Showgrounds hosts the 3rd annual Clare Valley Trail Run, a winter trail event focused on the valley’s natural landscape rather than road-race refinement. The courses traverse a "distinctive landscape of native bushland," rolling hills, and "vineyard vistas." The Sevenhill Hotel, Blue Gum Lookout, and the Riesling Trail serve as landmarks for the longer routes. Expect varied terrain underfoot: single track, fire roads, and established walking paths, with moderate to challenging elevation. Beginners can sample the region's trails, while experienced runners will find the climbs and terrain they seek. A walking or hiking option is available for those preferring not to race. All routes conclude at the Showgrounds, providing a straightforward finish after a day exploring bushland, vineyards, and hilly terrain.
