Middle Ridge Ramble Canicross 2026

Ourimbah State Forest provides the Middle Ridge Ramble Canicross with an authentic trail experience. The start and finish are located on the section of Middle Ridge Road near Red Hill Road that is closed to traffic. This is a canicross event focused on the dirt-under-your-shoes aspect: you and your dog working together as a team, rather than simply jogging around a park with a lead attached. Anticipate undulating terrain and varied trails, with approximately 150m of elevation gain, sufficient to challenge both runner and dog. The participants are dog runners, so the pace reflects the dynamic of this team sport: running alongside your dog, connected by a specialized harness, bungee cord, and running belt, aiming for smooth progress as the trail becomes uneven.
