TRR Murphys Creek Challenge 2026

Murphys Creek Recreation Reserve hosts the TRR Murphys Creek Challenge, a dirt-road and 4WD-track event, not a paved road race. The course follows "rural roads and tracks near Murphys Creek Recreation Reserve," with Penderest Road forming the main section. It has a local club atmosphere: practical, outdoorsy, and welcoming to beginners, trail runners, and walkers prepared for dusty conditions. Expect an "undulating 4WD track," generally firm but demanding when the "challenging climb up Penderest Road" begins. All participants start and finish at the reserve. Aid stations are located at the turnarounds and along the route, creating a straightforward pattern: climb, turn, return, finish. The reserve is also set up for post-race activities, offering a "sausage sizzle, a coffee van, and TRR merchandise for sale." Running clubs and groups can also set up tents the day prior.
