UP TRAIL 20K – ETAPA TAQUARAS

UP Trail 20K – Etapa Taquaras starts at 8:00 AM on Praia de Taquaras in Balneário Camboriú, Santa Catarina. It is a trail-style race in the Interpraias area, with a 20 km solo option, a two-person relay where each runner covers 10 km, and a mixed four-person team format where each runner covers 5 km. The event goes ahead in any weather, and runners have four hours to finish. DTO Sports organizes the race, with technical supervision and course measurement from the Federação Catarinense de Atletismo. The route uses mixed ground: dirt roads, asphalt, hills, and stretches of beach. Interpraias links Balneário Camboriú with Itapema and includes the beaches of Laranjeiras, Pinho, Taquarás, Taquarinhas, Estaleiro, and Estaleirinho, so the race is tied closely to the coastal road and the beach communities around it. The area has restaurants, inns, and leisure options nearby, which makes the stage practical for runners who come with family or stay around the coast after the race.
