The Trochtelfinger Nordic Walking Stöckles-Cup begins and ends at Tommis Sportshop in Trochtelfingen, located on the Swabian Jura in southern Germany. This walking and Nordic walking event takes place on the second weekend of October, featuring natural-surface routes suitable for participants using poles and those walking without them. The event provides various route distances, including 9 km and 13 km choices, attracting approximately 800 participants, positioning it as one of Germany's significant walking and Nordic walking events.
The designated routes consist of rolling single loops, not flat circuits within the town. The 9 km route involves roughly 74 meters of elevation gain and loss, while the 13 km route has about 168 meters of ascent and descent, requiring more effort for the longer distance without becoming a strenuous mountain race. The event's inclusive atmosphere welcomes adults, groups, children, beginners, regular walkers, Nordic walkers, and even participants with animals. Children up to 12 years old can participate for free, groups of 10 or more receive a discounted entry fee, and the race recently marked its 20th anniversary, celebrating two decades of activity on the Alb.
