The Weinbergslauf-Hochheim is a running event in Hochheim am Main, a town in Hesse’s Main-Taunus district, with races typically held in early September. TG Hochheim, a sports club founded in 1845, organizes it through a club with about 2,100 members and 11 departments. Runners can choose 6.1 km, 12.2 km, or a half marathon, and younger runners have their own Schülerlauf. The race is also part of the Süwag Energie Laufserie. The event has a local-club feel, not a big-city marathon setup. A pasta party is held on the evening before the race, volunteers and supporters are actively recruited, and Hochheim elementary school classes compete for the title of fastest class.
