The Bergischen 5 Erwachsenenrunde begins in Wermelskirchen, Germany, guiding participants through a five-stage trail and landscape race. This makes it more akin to a substantial trek on foot than a typical ultramarathon. The pace required is practical, with a time limit around 10 to 12 minutes per kilometer.
