45. Obersulmer Volkslauf 2026

The Obersulmer Volkslauf takes place around the Breitenauer See in Obersulm, Baden-Württemberg, with the start and finish lines located by the lake. This November community running event offers races for very young children, school-age runners, 5 km participants, walkers, Nordic walkers, and 10 km runners. The shortest race is the 250 m Bambinilauf, and the main race covers 10 km. Transponders are used for timing, and runners collect their bibs at the Hofwiesenhalle in Obersulm-Willsbach. The course is flat and fast: the 5 km race consists of one lap around the Breitenauer See, and the 10 km race involves completing that lap twice. The event attracts local families and schools, along with adult runners. Obersulm school classes participate in the children’s races and the 5 km fun run. Food and award ceremonies occur on-site, giving the day the feel of a local sports morning rather than a large-scale race production.
