The Döbraberg Dr. Heinz Laubmann Gedächtnis Lauf begins in Hof, directing participants up the Webersteig trail towards the Döbraberg summit, the Frankenwald's highest point. This October group run offers distances of 8.5 km, 14.5 km, and 23 km, alongside 8.5 km walking and Nordic-walking routes. The shorter adult runs do not feature timekeeping, emphasizing group completion of the ascent over competitive timing.
The course is hilly with a challenging profile, ascending from Hof to the Frankenwald's highest elevation. Pacemakers guide each group's pace, with overtaking prohibited, lending the event a structured club-run atmosphere. Established in 1968, the run honors Dr. Heinz Laubmann, its originator and the founder of the IfL clubs.
