The 12 h Lauf Freudenstadt is a timed running event in Freudenstadt-Grüntal, beginning at the Treffpunkt on Haldenstraße 10. Participants select either a 12-hour or 24-hour duration. The official start is at 8:00 AM, with the option to start later. The 12-hour race concludes at 8:00 PM, and the 24-hour race finishes at 8:00 AM the following day. Rankings are determined by the total kilometers covered from completed laps; any lap not finished by the cutoff time is not included. The circuit measures approximately 3.6 kilometers and involves about 70 meters of elevation gain per lap. This makes it a consistent, looped ultra-course rather than a flat track event. Directional markers guide the route, and runners frequently return to the start/finish area for provisions. The organization is straightforward: registration is via email, late entries are accepted at the start, the entry fee is 45 euros, payable by bank transfer or cash.
