SCC Cross Country is a Berlin forest-path race held at the Julius-Hirsch-Sportanlage on Harbigstraße in Westend. It features two straightforward cross-country races: a 4 km for U16 athletes up to adults, and a 9 km for U18 athletes up to adults. Both races begin in the morning. The format is simple: club runners, younger age-group athletes, and adults compete on short, off-road courses, distinct from large city-road events.
The course incorporates both paved and unpaved forest paths, emphasizing rhythm, footing, and finishing speed over scenic views. Awards are presented to the top three in age and gender categories, including U20 and U16 groups. A separate prize is given for the fastest final lap for men and women. SCC members participate without charge, while other entry fees remain low. Late registration is possible shortly before the start for an additional fee. The race maintains a results archive, providing this compact local event with a clear record beyond race day.
