Friedeholz Cross is a forest cross-country race in Syke, Lower Saxony, and one round of the Syke-Weyher Cross-Series. It offers four distances, from a 1.3 km pupils’ race to a 10.3 km long race, covering children, youth runners, and adults on the same event day.
The route is mostly on forest paths, with about 100 meters of asphalt before runners reach the Waldstadion Syke. The shorter races are split by age groups, while the 3.6 km middle distance is open from U16 upward and the 10.3 km race is for U20 and older. The event is part of a three-race series; runners seeking a series result must enter all three races before the first one. Changing between the middle and long distance is possible, but an individual switch does not count for the series standings.
