Ammerseetriathlon 2026

The Ammerseetriathlon takes place in Dießen am Ammersee, a Bavarian town situated on Lake Ammersee. Scheduled for mid-July, it features XS and S race formats. The primary sprint distance includes a 750 m swim, a 20 km bike ride, and a 5 km run. SC Riederau is the organizing body for this event, now in its 26th year. The event prioritizes quick racing by the lake over extended endurance challenges. Approximately 150 athletes are anticipated for the sprint race. Additionally, younger participants can compete in Schüler events, ranging from a 50 m swim and 800 m run for the youngest category to a 400 m swim, 10 km bike ride, and 2.5 km run for Schüler A. The location on the Ammersee shore provides a local atmosphere, complemented by enthusiastic crowd support, close finishes, and Landesliga competition that lends a club-racing intensity.
