Bismarck-Gedenklauf Schönhausen 2026

The Bismarck-Gedenklauf is an annual road and forest running event in Schönhausen (Elbe), Saxony-Anhalt. It takes place on German Unity Day and is organized by SV Preussen 27 Schönhausen. As part of the ELBE-OHRE-CUP, it is integrated into the regional race circuit, offering 7 km and 13 km distances, in addition to shorter races for younger participants. Participants begin at the club's sports center, proceeding along paved roads into the forest, passing Kollerberg, and returning to the sports center. The longer course follows this circuit twice. The event honors Otto von Bismarck, Schönhausen's most famous native. Younger children (U8 to U12) compete in a 900 m race, while older children and youth have a 3 km option. Following the race, the club and volunteers serve food and conduct the awards ceremony at the sports center.
