36. Karlsfelder Triathlon 2026

The Karlsfelder Triathlon takes place in mid-July in Karlsfeld, Bavaria, organized by TSV Eintracht Karlsfeld. It provides two distance options: a shorter Volksdistanz, suitable for those seeking a manageable introduction to triathlon, and a longer Kurzdistanz for athletes prepared for a more demanding event. The shorter race includes a swim of approximately 500 to 750 metres, followed by 26 km of road cycling and a 5 km run. The longer race features a 1.5 km swim, a bike course of about 46 km, and a 10 km run. The event is situated in Upper Bavaria, incorporating lakes, ponds, and natural areas, with the swim course defining the event's local character before cyclists transition to the road course and runners complete the final segment. Over 1,000 athletes are anticipated throughout the day, with participation distributed between the two distances. The field is designed to accommodate both seasoned triathletes and beginners. A notable feature is the start-list transfer system: cancellations allow participants to release their entry, which can then be claimed by another athlete via the registration portal.
