Once a year, the Bad Homburger Kurparklauf transforms the Kurpark in Bad Homburg into a running course. Hundreds of runners participate in this park race, opting for it over a road race through town. Participants can choose between the 10 km Volkslauf, for those seeking a longer challenge, and the 5 km Jedermannlauf, designed for individuals preferring a shorter, more accessible run.
Both races commence and conclude on Brunnenallee, utilizing a shared 2.5 km loop. Consequently, 5 km runners navigate two laps, while 10 km runners complete four. The course remains within the Kurpark, the city's central green space, winding through lawns, trees, and garden paths, avoiding streets with heavy traffic. The event is approaching its 30th edition. Registration typically begins in early August, and participants can download their completion certificates post-race.
