Lipsiade is a two-day youth track and field meeting in Leipzig, held in early June at the Sportforum Nordanlage. It is organized by the Leipziger Leichtathletik Verband e.V. and designated as a Kreismeisterschaften event, functioning as a local championship for young athletes rather than a road race or mass fun run.
The program focuses on children and youth age groups, featuring sprint races like 50m and 75m, 800m middle-distance races, hurdles, and relays. Younger teams in the U8 and U10 groups compete in 3x600m relays, while older children can participate in 4x50m or 4x75m relays. Field events include long jump, high jump, shot put, discus, javelin, and ball throw, with specific events varying by age group.
