Mönchguter Brennerei-Lauf Middelhagen 2026

At the Mönchguter Brennerei-Lauf in Middelhagen, participants choose between a shot from Störtebeker Distillery or 10 squats at the end of each kilometer. This winter event takes place in Mönchgut, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, offering 5 km and 10 km distances. It is designed as a fun run, not a competition for speed, with no official timing to encourage movement, laughter, and completing the "Shot or Squat" challenge in good condition. The course winds through Mönchgut’s villages and along the dike towards Lobbe before returning. Both runners and walkers participate. The combination of cold weather, artisanal spirits, whisky shots, and physical challenges creates a festive atmosphere distinct from typical road races. Störtebeker Distillery GmbH organizes the event, which has previously reached its registration limit, and all finishers receive a medal shaped like a whisky barrel.
