The Offendorf-Triathlon begins with open-water swimming in Hemmelsdorfer See, keeping the lake nearby for most of the event. It is part of the PALM SERIE, featuring Supertriathlon, Volkstriathlon, and Olympic-distance races, accommodating both shorter-course athletes and more ambitious triathletes within the same program.
Following the swim, athletes transition at the Offendorf bathing area before cycling past meadows, forests, and historical burial sites. The run route maintains views of Hemmelsdorfer See, with the finish returning to the bathing area. The event seems designed for a smaller scale, appealing to those who value nature, enjoyment, and camaraderie over strict finish times. Competitors can also earn the PALM medal, and RESTUBE Active safety buoys are available to borrow for the open-water segment, subject to availability.
