Run & Bike Berlin is a small Berlin race where two teammates share one bike and one running job, starting from Heidenheimer Straße at 10:00 a.m., usually in September. One person runs while the other rides behind, and the pair can swap roles as often as they like over 10.5 km, 21 km, or 42 km. Solo running options are also offered, but the team format defines the event.
The route uses hiking trails and forest paths, with sections that range from flat to hilly. The bike is more than transport: it can carry drinks, food, and extra clothing, but the cyclist must stay within 20 meters behind the runner. Riding ahead or dropping the bike and continuing on foot means disqualification. Teams race as women’s, men’s, or mixed pairs, must finish together, and the field is usually compact, roughly 101 to 300 participants. The event started in 2018, is organized by SC TF Veranstaltungs-gGmbH, uses timed results, gives adult finishers medals, and prints certificates for the top three at the awards ceremony.
