Schultriathlon Sonnenlugerschule Mengen 2026

The Schultriathlon Sonnenlugerschule Mengen is a student triathlon day held at the outdoor pool in Mengen. Young athletes swim, cycle, and run, using the race to test themselves in a school setting rather than a club competition. The event includes a Special Race for athletes with disabilities and the state triathlon final linked to Jugend trainiert für Olympia. Björn Breimaier, a teacher at Sonnenlugerschule Mengen, organizes the LBS-Schultriathlon, named after Landesbausparkasse. The race attracts several hundred participants, and the school community helps run it, with about 60 Sonnenlugerschule students serving as course marshals, joined by helpers from the youth group of Mengen’s triathletes.
